AsToldByNae the blog has been a couple of years in the making. I questioned my own adequacy to actually create a blog that was not only impactful but that would make Abba proud. I honestly battled imposter syndrome from the moment God gave me the idea to create this blog. Thank God for the people in my life that encouraged me to do it and walk in purpose. The word still means to not move, to become motion

The word still means to not move, to become motionless or silent, subdued, and calm.
The scripture from Psalm 46:10 that says be still and know that I am God is often used as a Christian cliche ignoring the power of just being still and resting in God.
Being still doesn't mean you're weak. It also doesn't mean you don't have control over the situation. It simply means you have given up control to a God who is more than capable of taking care of you and the situation.
Your power is in how well you can just rest in Him. To be still is to have total trust that God can defend you, protect you, save you, help you, deliver you and heal you.
I didn't share my truth of being molested until I was in my 20s. I fought so hard to be believed by people to still not be believed by the same people I was trying to convince. It wasn't until I gave up trying to be believed to God that I was able to have peace. God has defended me in ways I never could have.
If you are struggling with defending yourself or having a hard time letting go of something. Give it to God and be still. Don't try to protect your name and don't defend your character. Allow God to do it.
His way is ALWAYS better!!

Remaining grateful may be a challenge if you are in the middle of a hard season. If you are finding it hard to just be grateful, remember seasons change and it won't always be like that! Also, I encourage you to think back on the many times you have seen God's faithfulness and dwell on that today.
I know Thanksgiving is coming up and we tend to have an attitude of gratitude around that time which is awesome, but we must learn to have that attitude in our lives no matter the season that we are in.
I struggled to see the cup half full instead of half empty and that mindset kept me in a cycle of discontentment. I didn't always have a heart posture of gratitude. Once I learned to be content and chose to dwell on the good things God has done in my life I was able to change my mindset.
I pray today that your perspective would change and that you would remember how many times the Lord has came through for you 🤍
