Without God I’m just an average girl. However, when God invades your space and your life He brings His supernatural presence with Him. Average means not out of the ordinary or common.
For years I spent time agonizing over the very demonic thoughts that there wasn’t anything special about me. Maybe the enemy has convinced you that you aren’t meant for great things. I want to dispel that lie. When you meet the creator of the universe you don’t stay that average girl. With Him nothing is ordinary about you. Supernatural means departing from what is usual or normal especially so as to appear to transcend the laws of nature. God is all powerful, extraordinary, limitless, and He is THE creator!
This post will explain the slogan of AsToldByNae and change your perspective on who you are in Christ. You’ll never see yourself as an average girl anymore because of your Father. I pray that you would encounter God as you read and allow Him to minister to your heart.
As you keep reading you will began to understand why your status has changed from average to extraordinary. Understanding how meeting the Supernatural God of the universe changes your status will impact how you see yourself.
This post is all about being an average girl and then encountering a supernatural God.
Why You Are Not An Average Girl
You Have Accepted Jesus
When you accept Jesus to be your Lord and Savior you receive the free gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God’s spirit. God’s spirit is supernatural. The Holy Spirit’s power is not limited because He made His home in you. In fact Acts 1:8 does not tell us we will receive a little bit of power. Jesus said when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power. The Greek word for power is dunamis which means miraculous power, force or ability. Nothing about the Holy Spirit is average. He comes with the full weight and force of God’s power and because you have accepted Christ He’s now in you. So being an average girl is no longer the correct language to define yourself.
You Are New In Christ
Often times we settle for what we want in life because we see ourselves as average or basic. If I’m being honest I never intended to write this blog post. I happened to be scrolling through TikTok and seen a filter that tells you what type of black girl you are. (eye rolls lol) I honestly shouldn’t have bothered with it even if it was for “fun”. It basically told me I was a basic black girl. I said to myself I am not! However, instead of dwelling on the false narrative of who a generated response said I was I took this opportunity to write a blog post about who I am and who you are in Christ. It also gave me a chance to explain my slogan in a bit more detail. Before Jesus we were average girls. Thank God we don’t have to settle on anything in life! We can dream those big dreams with God. You can achieve great and mighty things. What you do in life shall be extraordinary and never average. You are not an average girl, mom, wife, entrepreneur, daughter or friend.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Prayer For The Girl Who’s Struggling To Believe She’s Not Average
Father, I thank you for the girl reading this post. I thank you Father that her life is not pointless. I thank you that she is not average and that the purpose and destiny you have for her is not average. Lord, I thank you that the words she read did not fall on deaf ears but that they are lifegiving words that are penetrating her heart. I pray that she will no longer settle for less than and average but that she would dream big dreams with You. Renew her mind concerning her identity in You. May she never again define herself or allow others to define her as basic or average. Holy Spirit I ask you to arrest her in the spirit and help her to take captive every lie from the enemy concerning her. Daddy God saturate her home with your presence and uplift her and show her who she is and the life you have preordained for her. In Jesus name, I pray Amen.
Sis, I love you and God loves you more!
